Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, designed to ensure profit, which can slightly skew probabilities. This market, driven by the collective wisdom of traders, aims to represent the true probability of an outcome as perceived by the crowd. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets can quickly adjust to new information and changing sentiment, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. It's worth comparing both to gain a comprehensive view.
