Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the views of many independent traders. If a significant number of people believe a particular outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money flows into either side of the market, as prediction markets can incorporate information not fully captured by sportsbooks.
