Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven by the collective predictions of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it’s important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information more quickly than sportsbooks, especially regarding late-breaking news or shifts in sentiment.
