Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially driving the prediction market odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It's common to see discrepancies, especially early on, as information becomes available and opinions solidify.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective sentiment of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket, meaning traders are directly influencing the odds with their actions. This creates a dynamic and responsive pricing system.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
