Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd. If significant differences emerge, opportunities for arbitrage may present themselves, as traders attempt to profit from mispricings between the two.
