Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy emerges between this market and sportsbook lines, it could indicate that the crowd believes a sportsbook is mispricing a particular outcome. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different methodologies and information sets.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous, decentralized exchange mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and share their views, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The current volume traded provides insight into how actively this market is being assessed by participants, and the price movements indicate changing expectations about the Qin vs Bairo match.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Qin vs Bairo match, as reported by the governing body of the competition.
