Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a ‘vig’ or commission into their odds to ensure profitability, which can slightly distort the true probabilities. This market, driven by user predictions, aims to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd without such built-in margins. While sportsbooks might initially set odds based on expert analysis, prediction markets evolve as more information becomes available and more people participate. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as the event approaches, as the market reacts to news and developments.
