Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess the probabilities. If prediction market traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are mispriced, they can capitalize on the difference. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially in events where public sentiment strongly influences sportsbook lines, but may not fully reflect the views of informed traders participating in this market. This can lead to opportunities for arbitrage or informed speculation.
