Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. It’s important to note that prediction markets allow for more nuanced outcomes than simple win/loss scenarios, potentially capturing a wider range of possibilities than traditional betting options. Examining both can give a more complete picture of expected results.
