Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probabilities. If significant differences appear, it may indicate that the crowd believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event, or vice versa. Analyzing both sources can provide a more comprehensive understanding of potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. The price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the changing sentiment of the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe an outcome is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and increasing the implied probability.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official result of the M15 Selva Gardena match between Alberto Morolli and Andrea Cogolo. The platform will verify the result against widely available and trusted sources to determine which outcome is the winner. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
