Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will reflect that. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see prediction markets react more quickly to new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering value for informed traders.
