Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe one player is more likely to win, the odds on Polymarket will shift accordingly, potentially diverging from initial sportsbook lines. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional forecasts, especially when information is incomplete or subjective.
