Often, prediction market odds can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. This can occur because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of many traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks may factor in biases or marketing considerations that are less prevalent in a decentralized prediction market like Polymarket. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly in niche events where sportsbooks may not dedicate as much analytical effort. Examining these differences can provide valuable insights into market expectations.
