Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and often incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, attracting traders who aim to profit from the difference. However, it’s common for prediction markets to be more accurate than initial sportsbook lines, particularly as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
