The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, ultimately reflecting the collective prediction of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome will occur, the higher the price of shares representing that outcome will rise, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing sentiment.
