Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s probabilities are driven purely by traders willing to put their capital at risk. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, the odds on Polymarket will adjust accordingly. This can lead to prediction market odds being more accurate, particularly as the event approaches and more information becomes available. Comparing these odds can reveal where the market disagrees with conventional wisdom.
