Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant difference emerges between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, as traders attempt to profit from the discrepancy. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information than traditional betting markets, potentially offering a more real-time assessment of probabilities.
