Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket, potentially driving the prediction market odds in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of money has been traded on either side.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to reflect the collective sentiment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a 'yes' share, for example, represents the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the traders on the platform. This dynamic pricing means the odds are constantly updating based on supply and demand for each outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
