Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from those initially set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their independent beliefs about the probability of each player winning. If a significant amount of money flows towards one outcome, the odds will shift accordingly, potentially diverging from sportsbook lines. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast event outcomes, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
