Prediction market odds often reflect a different kind of wisdom than sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of informed traders. Often, prediction markets can be more accurate than traditional betting markets, particularly when there's significant public information available. However, sportsbook odds can still provide a useful benchmark for comparison, revealing where the crowd’s perception differs from expert analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market efficiently incorporates all available information, providing a real-time assessment of the event's likelihood.
