Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the players' form. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering a more efficient assessment of the likely winner.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing their belief in each player winning. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price increases, indicating growing confidence in their victory. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price, suggesting decreasing confidence. This dynamic process ensures the market price continuously adapts to new information and participant sentiment.
