Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their beliefs and influence the price. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can trade in a way that causes the prediction market odds to diverge. It’s common to see differences, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts leading up to the event.
