Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals freely trading based on their beliefs, which can lead to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the same data. Comparing these odds to those offered by sportsbooks can reveal where the market believes there’s value.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market collectively believes is the true probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand; if more people believe MINGLIANG YUE will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing reflects the aggregated predictions of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Maanshan MINGLIANG YUE vs Zichen Shao match, as declared by the governing sporting body.
