Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. It's common to see discrepancies emerge, especially when public perception differs from expert analysis. Examining these differences can be valuable for informed decision-making, though it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, not guarantees of the final result.

The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
