Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds due to varying information sources and incentives. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. Discrepancies can arise from differing levels of expertise among participants, or from unique information available to prediction market traders. It’s common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines as new information emerges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of a particular outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is driven entirely by supply and demand; if more people believe Corey Craig will win, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase.
This market resolves around Nov 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The platform will look to established sources for the official results to determine the winning outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about strategy or team composition could also have an impact. Publicly available analysis from tennis experts, or even shifts in betting patterns on sportsbooks, might also cause movement. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either player winning will likely be reflected in the market price.
