Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, representing their profit margin, and may be influenced by public betting patterns. This market, however, represents the aggregated wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters. If sportsbook odds significantly differ from those on Polymarket, it could indicate disagreement about the true probability of a particular outcome, or differing risk assessments. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view.
