Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as determined by traders. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market allows for a more dynamic and crowd-sourced assessment of the likely outcome.
