Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is undervaluing a particular outcome, they can drive the price on Polymarket to reflect that perceived mispricing. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a specific outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the price adjusts dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of expectations. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand among traders on Polymarket, and isn't influenced by external factors or predetermined formulas.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Chirag Duhan vs Aryan Lakshmanan match, as reported by recognized sports authorities. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner and settle the market accordingly. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Nov 4, 2026. Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly impact trader sentiment.
