Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately predict the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each market. If a significant difference exists between the odds on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks, it may indicate that traders believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular result.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting growing confidence in their victory. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds continuously adjust to incorporate new information and trader sentiment.
