Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, however, is driven purely by the collective predictions of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as the event approaches and more information becomes available. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market continuously adjusts based on real-time trading activity and new information.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts accordingly, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the event's potential results. The current implied probability of a particular outcome is determined by the share price relative to $1.

This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the M15 Bol fight between Patrik Homola and Ryan Zuberbuehler, as declared by the relevant sporting authority. The platform will verify the result against trusted sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event result, and payouts will be distributed accordingly to those who correctly predicted the winner.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight commentary from analysts could impact trader sentiment. Unexpected developments in the lead-up to the fight, such as changes in weight class or reported health concerns, could also cause significant movement. Furthermore, large trades by influential market participants could temporarily alter the price, reflecting their strong conviction about the likely outcome of the Homola vs Zuberbuehler match.
