Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds. This is because prediction markets allow for continuous trading and incorporate information from a diverse range of participants. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on expert analysis, this market adjusts dynamically as new information becomes available and more people weigh in. Discrepancies can arise due to differing risk assessments, biases, or simply the liquidity available in each venue. It's common to see prediction markets converge towards the true probability as the event approaches.
