Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from sportsbook odds, which are often set by analysts. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public betting percentages or perceived biases, while this market relies on individuals directly expressing their beliefs through trading. If sportsbook odds heavily favor one player, but trading volume in this market is more evenly distributed, it could indicate disagreement with the conventional wisdom. It’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, but they are derived using different methodologies.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa.
