Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their risk and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can influence the price here, potentially creating discrepancies. It's common to see this market incorporate information and analysis faster than traditional betting venues, leading to different probabilities assigned to each possible result.
