Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, as traders have skin in the game and can adjust their positions based on new information. However, sportsbook odds can provide a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies may indicate areas where the market perceives an edge or disagreement with conventional wisdom.
