Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between prediction market prices and sportsbook odds, it may indicate that the market believes the sportsbook has mispriced the event. However, it is important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
