Description

In the upcoming LCS best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-10-03 20:00 UTC: if Cloud9 wins the series, the market will resolve to "Cloud9"; if LYON wins the series, the market will resolve to "LYON". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official LCS broadcast and https://lolesports.com. Note: Opinion will resolve this market strictly based on the first final result officially published or announced by a designated resolution source. Any subsequent revision, correction, or reversal will not affect the resolution.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, it may indicate that the market believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities based on different information and methodologies, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate.

On Opinion, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders can buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the current supply and demand, and thus the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust its predictions accordingly.

This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be determined by the official outcome of the LYON vs Cloud9 match, as reported by the governing body or official tournament organizers. The platform will then verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome wins and distribute payouts accordingly.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team rosters, player injuries, or changes in strategy for either LYON or Cloud9 could significantly shift the odds. Major upsets in other matches leading up to this one, or shifts in public sentiment regarding team performance, could also play a role. Unexpected announcements or controversies surrounding the event itself could also cause movement in this market as traders react to the new information.
