Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own independent assessments. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of both markets. It’s common to see prediction market odds shift more rapidly in response to new information, as traders continuously update their beliefs. Comparing these odds can reveal where the crowd disagrees with professional oddsmakers.
