These markets focus on the point differential in the final quarter of a college football game, allowing participants to speculate on which team will dominate the last period of play. Outcomes are determined solely by points scored in the fourth quarter, excluding any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based exclusively on points scored during the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the LSU vs Kentucky college football game scheduled for Oct 10, 2026. Each market has a specific point-spread threshold that determines a 'Yes' outcome: if LSU wins by more than the specified margin (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points) or if Kentucky wins by more than the specified margin (2.5, 3.5, 6.5, 7.5, or 10.5 points) during that quarter, the market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original start time, markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, markets resolve to a fair price. No overtime points factor into any resolution.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, particularly as the event approaches. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on their own analysis, while this market aggregates the insights of many individual traders. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes move more quickly in response to breaking news or significant betting activity. It’s common to see differences between the two, as they are driven by different forces and cater to different types of participants.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the final fourth-quarter spread. The price of a contract indicates the probability of that spread occurring. As more people buy contracts predicting a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market is entirely driven by supply and demand, with no centralized entity setting the odds; instead, traders directly influence the price through their trading activity.
This market resolves around Oct 11, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the final point spread in the fourth quarter of the LSU vs Kentucky game will be used to determine which contracts pay out. The resolution will reflect the official result as reported by the relevant sporting authorities, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the LSU or Kentucky teams would likely cause movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team’s playing style, could also influence trading activity. Finally, significant late-breaking news related to team strategy or coaching decisions could also shift the perceived probabilities and move the market price before Oct 11, 2026.
