This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in a specific quarter of a college football game between LSU and Auburn. It tracks performance during a defined segment of play, offering a granular view of in-game dynamics rather than the overall result.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the second quarter of the LSU vs Auburn college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. If Auburn scores more points in that quarter, the Auburn market resolves to Yes. If LSU scores more points, the LSU market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points, the Tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, the market remains active and resolves according to the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi clarifies that it holds no official affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often aligning closely with sportsbook odds but sometimes diverging based on unique information or perspectives held by traders. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to participate and express their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions on injuries, weather conditions, or even intangible factors like team morale. It’s common to see this market incorporate information faster than traditional sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities as the event approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts predicting a specific team will win the second quarter, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth—the number of contracts available at different price points—indicates the level of agreement among traders. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will settle based on which team—LSU or Auburn—has the higher score at the end of the second quarter of the football game. The official game results, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on objective, publicly available data.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either LSU or Auburn would likely cause price fluctuations. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also influence the market, as they might affect the teams’ playing styles. Furthermore, significant shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by analyst predictions or late-breaking news, could move the market. Finally, early performance in the first quarter of the game itself will likely have a substantial impact on trading activity.
