This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the second half of an upcoming college football game between LSU and Auburn. It tracks performance specifically in the latter portion of the match, ignoring the first half's results. The outcome depends solely on second-half scoring, with tie scenarios also considered.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points in the second half (including overtime) of the LSU vs Auburn college football game scheduled for October 24, 2026. If Auburn scores more second-half points, its market resolves to Yes. If LSU scores more second-half points, its market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points in the second half, the Tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own independent beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing a team’s chances, the odds in this market will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, risk assessments, or simply variations in opinion about the likely outcome of the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. As more traders participate, the price converges towards what the market believes is the true probability. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy contracts for LSU to win the second half, the price will increase, and vice versa.
This market resolves around Oct 24, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The team leading at the end of the second half of the LSU versus Auburn game will be declared the winner of this market. The result will be based on the official game statistics and final score as reported by a trusted sports data source. Traders will be able to see the final result reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game ends. Any news regarding key player injuries for either LSU or Auburn would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Furthermore, in-game performance during the first half – such as a dominant offensive showing or a crucial turnover – could lead traders to reassess their predictions and adjust their positions, impacting the price of this market.
