On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a golfer will finish in the top 5. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is driven entirely by supply and demand, with traders adjusting their positions based on news, performance data, and their own analysis of the LPGA Shanghai tournament.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard of the LPGA Shanghai tournament is verified against credible public sources. Resolution will be based on the official results published by the LPGA Tour, determining which golfers ultimately finished within the top 5. The market will then settle based on whether the shares purchased correctly predicted a golfer’s inclusion in that group. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final, official tournament standings.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before the LPGA Shanghai tournament concludes. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in course conditions due to weather, or unexpected performance during the early rounds of the tournament could all cause shifts in the odds. Strong or weak performances by key players in the first few days will likely lead to significant trading activity. Additionally, any updates on player form or strategic changes announced by golfers could also influence how traders assess their chances of finishing in the top 5.
