On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a golfer will finish in the top 20. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of success, and vice versa. The market dynamically adjusts to incorporate new information and changing sentiment among traders.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final leaderboard for the LPGA Shanghai tournament is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results published by the LPGA Tour, determining which golfers ultimately finished within the top 20. The market will then settle to 100% for the winning outcome(s) and 0% for all others, reflecting the actual event results.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding golfer form, such as recent tournament performances or injury updates, could significantly shift the odds. Weather forecasts for Shanghai are also important, as conditions can heavily impact scoring. Unexpected withdrawals from key players would also cause substantial movement. Finally, major shifts in public opinion, perhaps driven by analyst predictions or social media buzz, could also affect the price of shares in this market.
