On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each golfer’s chance of being the leader. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular golfer, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the golfer who holds the lowest score after the second round of the Buick LPGA Shanghai tournament will be declared the winner of this market. The official LPGA leaderboard will serve as the primary source for determining the leader, and the resolution will reflect that official result. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding a golfer’s health or form, such as a reported injury or a strong performance in a practice round, could shift the odds. Weather conditions during the second round could also play a role, favoring certain playing styles or course conditions. Unexpected leaderboard changes during the first round will undoubtedly cause significant movement in this market as traders adjust their predictions. Finally, any significant shifts in public sentiment or expert analysis could also influence trading activity.
