These markets track the total points scored by both teams combined during the third quarter of a college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to settle the outcome.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams during the third quarter of the Louisville vs NC State college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. If the cumulative points exceed the specified threshold for each market, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For any game postponed but starting within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during the third quarter count toward resolution, and Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the unique dynamics of each venue. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, potentially offering a more real-time assessment of the likely outcome than fixed sportsbook lines. Examining both can give a well-rounded view.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 3rd quarter of the Louisville vs NC State game will be used to determine whether the total points scored fall above or below the threshold set by the market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring an objective and verifiable result. Traders holding contracts on the correct outcome will receive a payout, while those on the incorrect side will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Louisville or NC State would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to affect scoring, could also shift predictions. Game-day performance in the first half, and any strategic adjustments made by the coaches, will be closely watched by traders. Even public sentiment and betting trends observed elsewhere could contribute to price movements in this market.
