Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on power ratings and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and real-time adjustments based on trader activity. If there's a significant discrepancy, it might indicate that prediction market participants believe the sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks do.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that outcome occurring. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically. The market aims to discover the true probability of each outcome, providing a forward-looking assessment of the game’s potential result. This differs from static odds offered by sportsbooks, which are often adjusted less frequently.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
