Description

These markets assess how many goals will be scored in the first period of an NHL hockey game between Los Angeles and New York. Each market sets a different threshold for the total goals, determining whether the game starts more offensively than expected. The outcomes depend purely on the combined score at the end of the first period.

Kalshi

The markets evaluate whether the Los Angeles and New York NHL game scheduled for October 22, 2026, will see more than a specified number of goals scored in the first period. Three separate thresholds are set: more than 0.5 goals, more than 1.5 goals, and more than 2.5 goals. If the cumulative goals meet or exceed any given threshold, the corresponding market resolves positively. All markets share consistent secondary rules: overtime in the third period does not affect first-period scoring, and if the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain active and resolve based on the final official result. If the game is cancelled or does not start within that window, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment under varying scheduling circumstances.
