In the upcoming MLS game between Los Angeles Galaxy and San Diego FC, scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Los Angeles Galaxy vs. San Diego FC match originally scheduled for October 17, 2026 at 10:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a particular exact score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the price will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, particularly as new information emerges or public sentiment shifts leading up to the event. This difference can present opportunities for informed traders.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different exact scores. The price of each contract reflects the market’s collective belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Price movements are driven by supply and demand; if more people buy contracts for a specific score, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final, official exact score of the LA Galaxy vs. San Diego FC match will be used to determine the winning contract. Any delays in official reporting may slightly postpone resolution, but the process is designed to align with the definitive result of the game. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Predict once the outcome is officially verified.
Several factors could influence the price of contracts in this market. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either the LA Galaxy or San Diego FC would likely cause significant shifts. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain, could also impact the expected scoreline. Furthermore, any pre-game announcements about tactical changes or starting lineups could move the market. Even general public sentiment, reflected in social media or sports news, can influence trading activity and affect the prices in this market.
