These markets track specific combinations of first-half and full-game outcomes in a professional football match between two teams. Each market requires both the first-half result and the final game result to match a predetermined scenario for resolution.
All markets resolve based on the combined outcome of the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the specified Los Angeles C vs Los Angeles R Pro Football game scheduled for Nov 1, 2026. A market resolves to Yes only if both the first-half result and the full-game result exactly match the conditions outlined in the respective market's primary rule. If either the first-half or full-game result does not match the specified condition, the market resolves to No. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Each market has a unique combination of first-half and full-game outcomes that must both be correct for a Yes resolution.
Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines which are often set by analysts. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like public perception or team news, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see prediction market odds move independently of sportsbook odds as new information becomes available and traders adjust their positions. Examining these differences can offer insights into where the crowd believes the value lies compared to professional oddsmakers.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders set the odds by placing bids and asks, and the market price fluctuates based on supply and demand. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will rise, and vice-versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to represent the collective prediction of the crowd.
This market resolves around Nov 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Los Angeles soccer match, specifically the 1st half and full-time result as determined by the governing soccer league. The final score and any relevant match data will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or settle their losing positions based on the verified result.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Los Angeles team would likely cause shifts in the odds. Significant changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game tactical announcements from the coaches, could also lead to movement in this market. Ultimately, any information that alters the perceived probability of either team winning will likely cause price fluctuations.
