This market tracks the outcome of the League of Legends match between LYON and Team Secret Whales in the Worlds 2026 Group Stage, alongside potential in-game events. Currently, the consensus probability of LYON winning is 99.0%, with Team Secret Whales winning at 1.0%. This aggregated view combines data from Kalshi and Polymarket, and will resolve based on which team wins the match originally scheduled for Oct 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM EDT. Keep an eye on the match itself on October 23, 2026, as the outcome of that game will determine market resolution.
This market refers to the LoL Round 1 match between Team Secret Whales and LYON in the Worlds Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Secret Whales" if Team Secret Whales win the match against LYON. This market will resolve to "LYON" if LYON win the match against Team Secret Whales. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before November 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The event resolves based on the result of the LYON vs. Team Secret Whales League of Legends match at Worlds 2026, scheduled for October 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM EDT. If LYON wins, its corresponding market resolves to Yes; if Team Secret Whales wins, its market resolves to Yes. If the match is postponed beyond 48 hours of its scheduled start time, cancelled before play begins, or forfeited prior to any gameplay, both markets resolve to their fair market price. If the match starts but is later forfeited, resolution follows the official result declared by the tournament organizer. Prediction market odds, such as those reflected in this market, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and the incentive structure. Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profitability, incorporating a margin, while prediction markets allow participants to directly express their beliefs, leading to potentially more accurate probabilities. The volume of $2,968,861 traded on this event suggests a strong level of participant conviction. Furthermore, prediction markets benefit from continuous updating as new information emerges, unlike sportsbook odds which are typically adjusted less frequently. This can lead to discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes identifying mispriced opportunities.
