This market refers to the LoL Quarterfinal 2 match between KT Rolster and Team Vitality in the Demacia Cup Global Invitational Playoffs, initially scheduled for October 12, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "KT Rolster" if KT Rolster win the match against Team Vitality. This market will resolve to "Team Vitality" if Team Vitality win the match against KT Rolster. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 12, 2026 at 5:00 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://gol.gg/esports/home. However, if https://gol.gg/esports/home has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate their own margins and may be influenced by public betting patterns, whereas this market reflects the collective wisdom of informed traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, analytical approaches, or simply varying opinions on the probabilities of each outcome. It’s common to see prediction markets move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges or as the event draws nearer. Comparing the two can be a valuable exercise in assessing the potential value in each.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the aggregated view of the crowd. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more a particular outcome is bought, the higher its price rises, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds are constantly updated based on the latest information and sentiment.
This market resolves around Oct 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the KT Rolster versus Team Vitality BO5 series in the Demacia Cup Global Invitational Playoffs. The winning team, as declared by the tournament organizers, will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved using publicly available information from official sources related to the event.

News regarding player form, potential roster changes for either KT Rolster or Team Vitality, or any updates on team strategies could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player health or even in-game performance during the early matches of the BO5 series will likely cause price fluctuations. Analyst predictions and public opinion, while not directly reflected in the market, can also indirectly impact trading activity and therefore the odds.
